one too many travel adventures

Ive crossed the deserts for miles
Swam water for time
Searching places to find
A piece of something to call mine
–Pure Shores (The Beach OST)
As beautiful as it was in the movies, that was where I was last February (for the Chinese New Year Break). Phi Phi Island became hugely famous after the movie the Beach where Leonardo Di Caprio starred. I seem to hear this theme song strung my mind when I was lounging on the beach of Phi Phi. Though at times, I seem to remember the tragedy of the tsunami which also swept these islands.

It was just as vivid as I remember, the colors were so really how it is in these pictures. Although the beach at Krabi were not as beautiful, the islands saved the trip. My only complain was that we were always on the boat!
Anyway, we stayed at Aree Tara Resort which was very nice. Very accommodating even though we report ourselves to be only 9 even though we were 10. They actually knew we were “lieing” but let us be since they saw were kiddos just having fun! (Affordable also *winkwink*)

It was relaxing to stay around Krabi since I feel it is a bit laid back. People there were quite used to seeing tourists thus no awkward/mean interaction whatsoever. Though I feel like the places were too far apart, I would have loved to walk around the Krabi town (No time though).
There were much Asian tourists around, mostly Caucasian so I guess somehow I felt out of place at times…but of course, my friends were there! We looked Chinese (yup, we are!) but glad to speak in Tagalog haha! ;p
Overall, we had so much lovely pictures at Krabi/Phi Phi that it seems like we were taking pictures of postcards. Beauty in Thailand beaches…so much like Boracay but more serene. Boracay is still the best for me though…the comfort of white beach just a few steps out of the resort.

Wow, the view is so like Palawan no wonder even Lonely Planet has dared to declare El Nido is more picturesque than Krabi. Which means, we Pinoys ought to be proud.
