one too many travel adventures
We went to a short trip to a nearby beach from Singapore to surprise our dear friend one day. The place is called Desaru, Malaysia. From Singapore, we had to take a ferry at Changi Ferry Terminal (ticket around 22sgd roundtrip). We arrived less than hour to the city then we rented an old van to go to the hotel (Pulai Desaru).

I was not expecting a wow for Desaru because I’ve heard that it was quite boring here. True. It really was. The hotel is too big for me as I hate going back and forth because the rooms we were assigned to were far away. I didn’t like the food here either. Don’t take my word for it since I might have some bias on local food. But honestly, it was too expensive for that kind of quality.

Good thing there was a beach. It was actually wonderful to see a real beach where you can hear the waves and just lounge for the whole afternoon. The pleasant breeze of the sea can captivate the soul of each being. I gazed upon the horizon…the view seems so serene but sad at the same time. It was like there was no life around the place though I see a few people around.

Because I was in good company, I had a good time. But if you’re looking for a place where you want to have fun, I suggest you try another place.
